Through a leaner setup and semi-automated bidding strategies, ambitious revenue and ROI targets were achieved for ratioform's Google Ads campaigns in Austria.

Measures

For the fourth quarter of last year, the company set ambitious revenue targets for its search campaigns in Austria, aiming for a 10% increase over the previous year. To achieve these goals, several campaigns were first merged while the total number of transactions per campaign was increased. Split tests with different landing pages were conducted using the campaign experiment feature. Finally, many new Google Ads features, such as the new Expanded Text Ads format or Responsive Search Ads, were implemented immediately upon release.

Results

Thanks to the modified approach, ratioform was able to exceed its revenue targets for the final quarter of 2018. Ad spend and average CPC values remained significantly below the estimated figures, which also resulted in an improvement in CPA values.
