Stubai Tourism achieves an all-time high in ROAS with Demand Gen

Stubai Tourism wanted to optimize its summer campaigns and increase revenue without increasing the budget. By switching the campaigns to Demand Gen, e-dialog achieved a performance boost.
Challenge
The Stubai Valley (Tyrol, Austria) is a popular holiday destination among German skiers. However, it is not always top of mind for summer holidays. As a result, advertising efforts in summer are often less successful than winter campaigns. For these reasons, it was a challenge for the Stubai Tourism Association to effectively promote its summer activities and increase its revenue with the same budget as in 2024.
Despite various changes to the design and the overall campaign setup, we were never able to significantly improve performance with traditional display banners. Although we were initially skeptical about Demand Gen, the results convinced us otherwise.
Measures
We moved beyond traditional display advertising and expanded the campaign to inventory sources where users are most likely in the consideration phase (Discover, Gmail and YouTube). For this purpose, a mid-funnel Demand Gen campaign was set up and optimized for conversion goals.
Partnership with e-dialog: The e-dialog team developed the strategy and was responsible for setting up and managing the Demand Gen campaign.
Results
Compared to the previous year’s summer campaign and with the same budget investment, the Stubai Tourism Association achieved an increase in ROAS of +192% and growth in conversions of +91%, resulting in a 50% lower CPA.
This remarkable result was accompanied by excellent onsite performance in GA4.
