In mid-June, TikTok announced that a new, free AI tool would be available in the Creative Center: the Ad Script Generator.The new tool should be able to create TikTok video concepts based on prompts. TikTok uses popular wording for hooks or calls to action based on current video trends and puts them together in the tool for your individual product.

Based on the input, the new script generator delivers different script variants. We carried out a test with the following entries in the basic fields:
Based on the information provided, the system creates a selection of example video scripts, each containing a hook, a scene and a call to action. Audio and visual cues are also generated.
The tool offers an easy way to improve your TikTok content or get inspiration.In the first query you get 3 suggestions, which can be rated positively or negatively. However, if these 3 suggestions do not suit you, you can have more suggestions generated or run the query again.Whereby theQuality of the results depends very much on the input.The more precise and detailed the input is, the more accurate the suggestions are.

TikTok itself warns in the Creative Center that AI-generated content is not always precise:“Script content is generated automatically based on information provided by you. TikTok does not make any promises or guarantees regarding the content generated by Script Generator. It is solely your decision whether to utilize and/or publish content created using the Script Generator in any ad or other material. You are solely responsible for any content created using Script Generator, including ensuring that such content is accurate and complies with applicable laws and regulations, and this content is not endorsed, sponsored, or approved by TikTok. The information you submit will be shared with our third-party service provider to generate the content created by Script Generator. Conclusion
The new tool offers a good opportunity to quickly create a video concept. But – since the third-party provider is not known to the AI, you have to carefully consider what information you want to provide here.
Our test also shows that the concepts are very generic. We generated 3 queries for the comparison and see similar concepts with some of the same wording in all queries.
If many companies use this tool and follow the concept suggestions, it will result in videos with similar concepts and content being produced.This can lead to declining performance for TikTok Ads.We therefore see the tool as a good introduction to generally dealing with video scripts on TikTok and getting a feel for possible storytelling.
