How e-dialog Achieved a 75% Opt-In Rate at GACon Using a WhatsApp Chatbot

For the 15th Google Analytics Conference (GACon), e-dialog is using an interactive WhatsApp chatbot for the first time—with a 75% opt-in rate and over 600 outgoing messages.

Challenge

Overflowing email inboxes reduced the reach of updates, while support requests regarding tickets, schedules, and travel arrangements increased. The goal was to find a direct, mobile channel that would maximize awareness.

Measures

e-dialog developed an interactive WhatsApp chatbot featuring speaker information, the program, directions, and a ticket QR code service, as well as live broadcasts with real-time updates on the day of the conference.

Results

Exceptional acceptance among the target audience: Guests made extensive use of the bot as a self-service tool. Mobile delivery ensured a direct flow of information throughout the day.
