Moving Forward Together: Run for a Good Cause
Making a difference together—for us, that applies not only to our day-to-day work but also to our athletic endeavors. We’ve had a few very active weeks, during which we’ve combined our athletic drive with our entrepreneurial spirit:
We worked hard to rack up kilometers during our internal running challenge, “Run for a Good Cause,” as well as during the Wings for Life World Run. The great thing about it: In addition to supporting spinal cord research, all the kilometers we ran went directly into our own donation fund for an organization that’s especially close to our hearts.
Inclusion Through Sports: A Matter Close to My Heart
All of our proceeds from the sporting event went to the Lebenshilfe sports team.
Why this commitment is so important to us:
Lebenshilfe does invaluable work to support people with intellectual disabilities in leading independent lives, breaking down social barriers, and taking their rightful place in our midst. These values of respect, diversity, and genuine participation also reflect our stance as a company. Through our support, we aim to help ensure that people with disabilities—whether in daily life, at work, or in sports—receive the visibility, support, and appreciation they deserve.
Our donation went directly to the 2026 National Special Olympics Summer Games, which took place in Vienna at the end of June. Specifically, we used the funds to purchase the necessary equipment to enable the Lebenshilfe athletes to present a strong, unified, and professional team image.
Genuine enthusiasm that’s contagious
We got to experience firsthand just how much of a difference this support makes shortly after the competitions: Nicole Reiter, Bernhard Schmid, and Daniel Jagerhofer from Lebenshilfe visited us at our local office along with some of the Special Olympics athletes.
Hearing in one-on-one conversations just how much discipline, passion, and preparation went into the competitions—and how much joy and pride the athletes expressed when recounting their experiences at the Games in Vienna—deeply impressed our entire team. By that moment at the latest, it was clear to everyone: Every single kilometer run and every sore muscle was more than worth it.
We are proud of our team’s dedication and would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Lebenshilfe for their tireless commitment to an inclusive society!
